UNIQ - Classics: Rome

Classical Rome goes virtual!

This week we are delighted to welcome another 15 young people – this time for the UNIQ Summer School in Classics: Rome.

UNIQ is Oxford’s series of free 5-day courses for state school students in Year 12.  As a residential stay is not possible this year, our tutors, staff and student ambassadors will be meeting and working with participants online.

Those on the course will take part in challenging academic activities, get to know each other, and ask questions of our student ambassadors. There are also opportunities to learn how to make a competitive application to Oxford.

UNIQ Classics: Rome, directed by Dr Barnaby Taylor, includes lectures and seminars on:

  • Latin
  • Roman History
  • Roman Art and Archaeology
  • Catullus

Future applicants will be able to apply between December and January for the 2021 course.
