My current research project looks at the small group of fictional letters that survive from the classical period (Ovid's Heroides, Alciphron's Letters and Aelian's Letters of Farmers). In an effort to bring together the Greek and Latin traditions, often seen as very separate and distinct, I will attempt to show the particular relevance of the theme of exclusion across all texts.
