My studies focus on the use of language in ancient Greek literature, particularly tragedy and, more recently, lyric poetry. I am exploring how language was used to engage with the audience. I am fascinated by cognitive linguistics, and in my research I adopt some tools offered by cognitive analysis, pragmatics and socio-linguistics.
I also have great interest in the reception of ancient plays and their impact on modern spectators.
