My research centres around the intersection of ancient Greek medicine and philosophy, with a focus on the dialogues of Plato. I hold particular interest in how the physiology of the body found in the Hippocratic Collection acts as a blueprint for Plato’s moral psychology, and my thesis aims to trace this through his corpus.

My broader research interests include Hippocratic gynaecology as well as the reception of lyric poetry, especially Sappho, in Plato’s dialogues.
