My MPhil thesis will argue for the emergence of a Neopalatial social identity in the Kairatos River Valley. I will examine how the art and architecture of Knossos and its auxiliary residences constitute institutionalized social practices that contribute to regional cohesion. My research expands upon my interest in ancient architecture and how the artifacts discovered in those spaces guide our interpretations of ancient societies.
