My research examines differentiators between gods and mortals as presented in early Greek hexameter poetry (in Homer, Hesiod, and the Homeric Hymns), looking specifically at themes such as diet, anthropomorphism, (im)mortality, and power as characteristics which shed light on the nature of divinity.
My other research interests include classical reception studies; my MLitt thesis explored the impact of modern myth retellings in the understanding of ancient texts.
