My research explores how Manilius crafts a system of knowledge in the Astronomica by engaging with various didactic and astrological models. In the adaptation and transformation of the language, philosophy, and instructional methodology of these models, Manilius’ epistemological aims become clear.
My broader interests include didactic poetry, textual criticism, and philosophy’s role in literature.
