DPhil description: My DPhil project looks at the history of economic and cultural transaction across and around the Adriatic from the arrival of the Etruscans to the initial extension of Roman power to Illyria and the Greek world. I also have a keen interest in numismatics (particularly in Hellenistic Sicily and pre-Roman Italy), having written my MSt thesis on imitative royal coinage in the Hellenistic world; I am also currently Secretary of the Oxford University Numismatic Society.
