My research is focused on the scholia to the Iliad, particularly the exegetical scholia. This large corpus, transmitted through the medieval manuscript tradition, is the product of many compilers, excerpters and authors; the scholia are extremely heterogenous but largely undifferentiated in presentation regardless of ultimate origin. My research will seek to provide a taxonomy of the exegetical scholia and a methodology with which to approach these problems.
