My DPhil thesis provides a new edition of John Tzetzes’ Allegories of the Iliad taking into account both story of the text and manuscript transmission. Part of this project is also an introduction, in the form of a monograph, which supports and explains the edited text focusing on language, metre, context and textual transmission.

I am primarily interested in Greek poetry, Byzantine and Classical philology, and textual criticism; further research interests include Greek language and culture from classical antiquity to the contemporary age, palaeography, manuscript studies and comparative literature.

I am currently the president of the Oxford University Byzantine Society.
