I am researching the misthos for adunatoi in 5th-4th century BCE Athens, which was a pension given to Athenians who were deemed 'unable to work'. I am engaging with the idea of disability as we might understand it in classical Athens, as well as topics of state support, political voice, civic and familial responsibility and law in this time period.
My MSt is funded by the Oxford Graduate Scholarship at Wadham College.
