Broadly speaking, my research focuses on Latin poetry. My MPhil thesis examines the stylistic device of enumeration in the poetry of two late antique poets, Ausonius and Sidonius Apollinaris, comparing their strategies of listing with the modes of seriality and collection in the material culture of their time, aiming to shed further light on the aesthetics of enumeration in 4th and 5th century Gaul. Beyond this, I am interested in ekphrasis, metapoetics, narratology, palaeography, and archeology.
