Classics Teachers’ Day 2026

Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies
About the day

This annual CPD day is an opportunity to join us in Oxford, connect with other Classics teachers, and enjoy an exciting programme of talks from our academics.

Focus for 2026: This year’s Teachers’ Day is built around the new Latin A Level syllabus. Sessions will showcase the updated set texts, themes and approaches for the specification, with practical ideas you can take straight into the classroom.

There will also be a session introducing Maximum Classics, with ideas for encouraging the teaching of Classics in your feeder primary schools.
