Welcome to the Admissions section of the Classics at Oxford website. There has been study of the ancient world at Oxford for over 900 years and we are still at the very centre of discovery and innovation in the subject. As the largest faculty of Classics in the world Oxford can offer an unparalleled range of undergraduate and graduate courses, catering for a huge range of interests.

We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and nationalities. If you are fascinated and excited by the ancient world, its history, philosophy, literature, archaeology, architecture, languages or any other aspect of its culture or influence, and you want to study at the world centre for Classics, you will find the information you need on these pages. Application Deadlines

Undergraduate:

You must put in your application by 15 October of the year before you want to start the course (unless you plan to have a gap year), and you can normally expect to come for interview in early December.

Graduate:

The University will begin accepting applications for entry in October 2017 on 1 September 2016. The application deadline will be in late January 2017 (date to be confirmed).
