I specialize in the Aegean Bronze Age, specifically the so-called “Minoan” civilization of Crete. I study the history of Knossos, primarily the development of urban buildings around the Palace, its mortuary activities, Knossian identity, and the role of women in palatial economies. I am also interested in personhood and feminist archaeological theories.
