My dissertation work focuses on conceptions of children and childhood in ancient Greece from the Late Bronze Age to the end of the Archaic period, with a focus on the funerary contexts of children. My previous work in Thessaly on cemeteries containing the graves of children led to a keen interest in the social persona of children, particularly in the archaeological record outside of an "Atheno-centric" perspective.
