My thesis topic covers the functioning of tragic laughter within Euripides' texts themselves in addition to generic interplay with Old Comedy, and the potential reactions elicited from their audiences. I'm also interested in Classical Reception, particularly 21st century tragic adaptations.

I’m a theatre practitioner and stand-up comedian, and run the charity fundraiser SU project ‘Comedy vs Climate Change’ (also, funnily enough, about laughter in tragedy). I have edited and produced outreach videos for the Classics Faculty YouTube account, and write for the APGRD blog.
