How to subscribe to our Mailing Lists
All staff and students are assigned automatically to their own relevant lists.
Undergraduates in Classics will be subscribed to a suitable
undergraduate list when they start in Michaelmas term.
Graduate students will be subscribed to the Graduate Ancient History,
Languages and Literature, Classical Archaeology or Byzantine mailing lists automatically before the start of term.
If you think you should be on these lists, please contact Graduate
Studies at the Classics Office.
Other Mailing Lists
You may also wish to subscribe to the UK
Classicists mailing list - used mainly for announcements of
seminars and conferences and job vacancies. A companion graduate
list has just been launched for announcements. For discussion
graduates might like to look at the Institute of Classical Studies'
post-graduate forum - Pankur.
Further afield, an extensive "list
of lists" is maintained by A Christofori. A browse through
the archives is a good way to get the feel of a list - some of the
popular US lists are archived by Ohio
State University. If you are worried about cluttering up your
inbox then look out for the digest option offered by some mail-servers.
The day's or week's discussions are collected and sent to you in
a single e-mail.
