Scholarships for Researchers

Applications are invited for scholarships attached to the ‘Social and Cultural Construction of Emotions’ research project funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The recipient will work for this project as Senior and Junior Researchers. Applications can be submitted both by scholars with academic appointments and without current academic appointment. The scholarship can vary in duration (1-3 terms, 1-2 semesters) in the period from 1 October 2011 to 31 December 2013 and is not renewable.

The Researchers will complete a study (article, book chapter, book) related to the subject of the project and co-operate with the Principal Investigator, Professor Angelos Chaniotis, contributing to the project’s database and bibliography and attending workshops. Applicants must have completed a PhD dissertation (Junior Researchers) and have research experience and substantial publication record as well as a tenured position in an academic or research institution (Senior Researchers) in at least a field of Ancient Studies (Ancient History, Classical Literature, Classical Archaeology, Epigraphy, Papyrology).
