Lycian rock tombs, Fethiye.
Cut into the cliffs behind the modern town of Fethiye are a number of tombs, with elaborate architectural facades. All were broken into and robbed long ago, but they remain as impressive monuments to the prosperity, culture and aspirations of region in the Hellenistic-Roman period.
