Study Days
We provide Study Days FREE OF CHARGE for the following groups:
- Schools and colleges based within the United Kingdom
- Community groups based within the United Kingdom
- Mature students/life-long learners studying at any U.K. institution
N.B. In the interests of ensuring that the Outreach Programme retains sustainable, we ask that independent schools and colleges make a small contribution towards the cost of lunches for visiting student and teachers (usually between £3 and £4 per head).

Study Days at Oxford offer students of all ages a unique opportunity to:
- Experience the University atmosphere and gain an insight into what it's like to be a student at this famous seat of learning
- Meet current undergraduate students, graduates and Faculty tutors. This is particularly helpful for those who are interested in the Classical world but have not had many like-minded people to share experiences with before.
- Enjoy some of the sights of Oxford with its world-renowned architecture and beautiful college gardens.
- Explore the famous museums and galleries which belong to the University, with guided tours, workshops and object-handling sessions.
- Soak up new ideas and helpful tips from experts in the field.

Please be aware that demand for Study Days is consistently high throughout the year and you may be placed on a waiting list for a short period before a date can be arranged for your visit.
In providing such services as Study Days for visiting students and teachers the University of Oxford Classics Faculty reserves the right to prioritise requests in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Outreach Programme. If circumstances permit, we will endeavour to provide one Study Day per academic year for every state school or college which requests this, but unfortunately we are unable to guarantee this due to the demand for Outreach services.
