    The marble body:
  • is a version of the original bronze "Diskobolos" made by Myron in about 450-440 BC.
  • was found in Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli in 1791.
  • is now in Rome, Musei Vaticani, Sala della Biga, inv. 2346.
