Orpheus returns to Battersea Arts Centre

Following popular and critical success last year, Orpheus will return to Battersea Arts Centre this April. Set to a live score of hot club jazz, opera and French chanson, Orpheus is a musical re-imagining of the epic Greek myth.

There are £15 tickets available for group bookings of over 10 students and group leaders get free tickets (1 per 10 tickets). Group bookings can be made over the phone through the box office on 020 7223 2223.

The show will be of interest to university classics students and schools. 

The National Curriculum links for Key Stages 4 and 5 are as follows:

  • GCSE and A Level Classical Studies as part of Ovid’s Metamorphoses
  • Demonstrating devised performance techniques covered in Key Stage 4 and 5 Drama
  • The production’s musical styles of jazz, opera and chanson fall under both the “Music In The 20th Century” and “Western Classical Music” sections of GCSE Music
