Profile

My main research interests are in the literature and cultural history of the Greek world in the Hellenistic and Imperial periods. My doctoral dissertation, which I am currently preparing for publication, focused on the relationship between literature and urban popular culture by examining how Greek authors and readers of the Roman Empire wrote and read about everyday life in the city. This project forms part of my wider interest in tracing what social and ideological work literature performed in its ancient context.

Research Interests

Hellenistic and Imperial Greek literature and culture
