Profile

I'm an American citizen of Chinese origin, grew up in Geneva, studied in Oxford where I read Greats and completed a DPhil (1997). I was elected a Fellow of All Souls (1992-1999); I taught in Princeton, and also held visiting appointments in Paris (Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Ecole Normale Superieure). Since 2001, I have taught ancient history in Corpus Christi.

Research Interests

Greek History, especially Hellenistic; Asia Minor; Epigraphy; the classical and post-classical polis
