The Friends of Herculaneum Society cordially invite you to a talk to be given on Saturday 19 October at 16.15 in the Lecture Theatre of the Ioannou Centre for Classical and Byzantine Studies, 66 St Giles, Oxford OX1 3LU.
Dr Paul Roberts will be talking on:
Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum - background and inspiration
Dr Roberts is Senior Curator in the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities and Head of Roman Collections at the British Museum.  He was the curator of the 'exhibition of the year' which recently closed at the British Museum.
