Mods IA, Mods IC and IIB: you must attempt EITHER (i) exercises designed to test Greek accidence and syntax, plus (ii) questions on selected passages from the prescribed Anthology of Greek Prose Authors, ed. D. A. Russell, OR a passage for translation into Greek prose.

Mods IB : you must attempt EITHER (i) exercises designed to test Greek accidence and syntax, plus (ii) translation into Greek of a short passage of English, OR translation into Greek of a longer passage of English. The passages set will be related, in their demands of vocabulary and syntax, to the prose literature used in the intensive elementary language instruction in the first two terms.
