Elementary Greek
The course will cover basic accidence and syntax, and aims to bring beginners to a reading knowledge. The classes start in the first term (for details see the lecture list which will be available at the beginning of that term). There will be one three-hour examination paper, consisting of passages of Greek which will test knowledge of Attic grammar and competence in translation from Greek to English.
Not all courses and papers are available in every year. The authoritative information about courses and papers can be found in the University's Examination Decrees and Regulations, published with changes each October; the version published in the October a student begins a course will be authoritative for the examinations which that student takes at the end of the course.
