Welcome to the Admissions section of the Classics at Oxford website.
There has been study of the ancient world at Oxford for over 900
years and we are still at the very centre of discovery and innovation
in the subject. As the largest faculty of Classics in the world
Oxford can offer an unparalleled range of undergraduate and graduate
courses, catering for a huge range of interests.
We
welcome applicants of all backgrounds and nationalities. If you
are fascinated and excited by the ancient world, its history, philosophy,
literature, archaeology, architecture, languages or any other aspect
of its culture or influence, and you want to study at the world
centre for Classics, you will find the information you need on these
pages. You will also find information about the excellent career
prospects opened up by a degree in Classics.

Course I candidates can download specimen copies of the written test in Latin and/or Greek which you will sit at interview.
